No in play selection at The U.S. Open but……

I like where we are at with Jon Rahm, who we are on at 16/1 going in to the final round.

However I thought that I would share my thoughts on how I see things on Sunday morning.

Jon Rahm blew the overnight lead on the 18th on Saturday with a double bogey. However he is only one stroke off the lead and looks the obvious favourite to me. His game is in good order from what I have seen.

The lead is held by Will Zalatoris and Matt Fitzpatrick at four under par. Both are maidens on the USPGA Tour still. I would favour Zalatoris of the two but I can see them both struggling when the heat gets turned up by the chasers.

Then we have Rahm on his own one stroke back.

At two under par we have Adam Hadwin, Keegan Bradley and Scottie Scheffler. I only see Scottie playing a part in the finish here. He was very up and down on Saturday but if he finds his game in the final round he will be right up there.

At one under par we find Rory McIlroy, Sam Burns and Joel Dahmen . We still have a chance with Rory as long as he finds his best game. Rory was off on Saturday and his putter kept him in this. Sam Burns continues to play well. If there is any value now in the betting markets then it is Burns at 16/1. I am going to leave it though. Joel Dahmen slid down the leader board on Saturday and I see that continuing on Sunday.

I do not see anyone else getting involved.

I am looking forward to the final round and what will happen.

Good luck Martin
